The view from the Col de Valberg is wonderful, towards a gentle and very green mountain landscape. If you go there in the summer in the middle of the day and go down from Valberg towards Guillaumes, it is the gateway to the descent towards a furnace

Nestled in the Southern Alps, the Col du Raton offers a wild and unspoiled route, perfect for mountain bike enthusiasts. Culminating at 1,686 meters, it crosses landscapes of steep mountains, pine forests and alpine meadows. The pass reveals breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding valleys, with a clear view of the neighboring peaks. The climb, although sporty, is rewarded by the raw beauty of nature.

Special stage 13, The Grey Earth, is unique to this part of the world. What looks like a combination of grey cement dust mixed into tarmac that has then rolled down a hill like lava, has then set into long flowing ridge lines of incredibly grippy and fast rolling trail. For the riders, there's a suggested line laid out for them but the opportunity to go "off-piste" and choose a quicker line is there for those that want it.

Legendary trail in the grey earth, numerous professional videos have been filmed here and races including the Enduro World Series use this trail as a stage.
