Small cave on the side of the road. When it rains, it can become a "shelter". :-)

There are two ways to get to Pico Bejenado. The first starts from El Paso on the Pista de Valencia, the second on the Cumbrecita. Head for the car park on the Pista de Valencia. Follow the LP-302 from the visitor center of the national park in EL Paso for about a km in the direction of Cumbrecita. At the intersection, turn left towards Valencia. After a while, the asphalt road turns into a track. Shortly after the start of a second asphalt section, the car park is next to a hiking sign. (The track is very rough, it is better to park directly at the end of the first asphalt road.)

At the side of the road there is a small cave that goes several meters into the rock, but unfortunately gets lower and lower.

The volcano doesn't look that dangerous. It still smokes a little in the morning. But when you look at the extent of the eruption, you realize how massive the eruption was. So many houses and plantations were destroyed. Really bad...

The normal hiking trail to Pico Bejenado starts from the hiking car park. The road there is not the best, however; it is better to park right at the beginning of the trail and start the hike from there.

You can't get very close to Bulkan because there is still a restricted area around the volcano. But you can see it well from above or from the side.
