🌿 Montenach Nature Reserve
A species-rich nature reserve on the "Seven Hills" of Montenach – with dry grasslands, orchards, orchids, butterflies, and rare bird species. The area has been protected since 1994 and is maintained by the Conservatoire des Sites Lorrains.
Tip: Spring to early summer is the best time – that's when wildflowers and orchids bloom. Pay attention to the information boards along the trails and bring binoculars – the diversity is great, but often well camouflaged.
