The café on the Stationsplein has been a protected monument since 1986. The café dates back to 1887 and was initially a carriage and courier service, café and restaurant and guesthouse. The interior in Flemish neo-Renaissance style is unique and contains wood carvings by artist Seraphin De Maertelaere.
