A beautiful natural stone structure. Hope it can survive more generations of people who want to carve in it and cause other trouble. The trails could have used some clearing today, several trees down and plants encroaching on the trail. I left my folding saw in the trunk or I could have helped clean up some of it, didn't know I needed them when I started out.

It took us about two hours. We brought walking sticks and those helped greatly!!

Cleopatra's Needle is a landmark rock formation that sticks out of the bluffs towards Devil's Lake. This is a great place to stop for a photo op and to admire the dramatic scenery.

The trail is nontechnical and runnable, and takes you up by Johnson Ponds and the Upper Ice Age Campground. This trail is less crowded than those by the bluffs and the lake.
