On the way to the waterfalls

The path of reflection begins at Riva's Waterfall Bar, a cozy rest area near the start of the hike. Here, hikers can refresh themselves before embarking on their spiritual journey. Right from the start, you are greeted by the calming backdrop of nature: the sound of the waterfalls, the chirping of birds, and the moss-covered forest floor create an atmosphere of reflection. An initial sign introduces the theme of St. Francis's Canticle of the Sun, which serves as the guiding principle for the trail. From here, the journey begins along the ten reflection points, which invite reflection, pause, and connect with nature.

The first waterfall forms the impressive backdrop for this reflection point, dedicated to the element of water. The Bible verse John 7:37 was chosen here: "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me." A modern depiction of the Sacred Heart symbolizes humanity's thirst for nourishment and healing. Erected by the youth ministry of the Taufers deanery, this sculpture invites reflection on the life-giving and purifying power of water. Accompanied by the sound of the waterfall and surrounded by moss-covered stones, this place reminds us of gratitude for water as a gift of creation – in the spirit of Saint Francis of Assisi: "Praised be You, my Lord, for Sister Water, who is most useful and humble and precious and pure."

The first waterfall of the Reinbach Cascade is reachable after about a 20-minute hike from the parking lot. The path there is wide, easy to walk, and runs along the Francis Contemplation Trail, which has several stations inviting you to reflect. At the waterfall itself, there is a viewing point from which you can enjoy the cascading water and the surrounding nature. Particularly noteworthy is the "Sister Water" contemplation point, a modern representation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus that reminds us of the spiritual significance of water. This section of the hike is easy, also suitable for families, and offers a first impressive glimpse of the power of the Reinbach Waterfalls.

The waterfall trail leads through a beautiful natural setting, offering numerous highlights. At the beginning, you'll encounter the Rivas Bar, a cozy place to rest. The trail continues to two impressive wooden owls, artfully integrated into the forest. A hiker statue with his companion creates a striking scene and symbolizes the connection between humans and nature. Along the way, you'll find the suspension bridge that crosses the Reinbach stream and marks the end of the Fly Line. The trail is a harmonious blend of nature experiences, art, and adventurous moments.

The wood-carved armchair is an artistic piece of furniture featuring a fox proudly perched on the backrest. Crafted from solid wood, the armchair exudes rustic beauty with meticulously carved details. The fox, artfully integrated into the design, lends the armchair a magical aura and symbolizes the connection to nature. The armchair is inviting and offers a moment of contemplation to find peace and quiet amidst nature.
