Maunawili Falls is a beautiful waterfall in the middle of the jungle. The water first flows down a rocky path and then cascades into the pool below, where you can go for a swim. The main trail is closed at the moment, but the waterfall can still be reached via other trails (e.g. from Pali Highway).

Pali Puka is located at Koʻolau Summit and is a natural window inside the mountain. Looking through the window, you get a great overlook. Please be aware, that the hike to the summit is very steep and as you're walking on the ridge most of the time, this hike is not for those who are afraid of heights. There are multiple sections, where you will walk right next to the cliff that drops off more than 1,000 feet.

Likeke Falls is a two-tiered waterfall with a total height of about 20 feet. It is located in the east of Oʻahu and can easily be reached from Kailua. The waterfall might not be the biggest one on the island but it's still a very impressive sight to visit and the big plus is its accessibility with just a short hike from the nearby golf course.

Free entry and a fantastic setting. A must see on Oahu. Unfortunately, stopping in the entrance area for a photo is forbidden, there were too many who stopped for Instagram.

Main trail is closed now, but still reachable via side trails from Pali. Great 10 foot jumps into deep pool. Side cliffs can be jumps of 35 feet but water is deep and boulder free. The hike down from the main trail is very steep and muddy.

The jungle on the Maunawili Falls Trail is beautiful. However, you have to be careful because the path is full of roots and often slippery. You have to cross the stream several times. You should also not go swimming with open wounds, since the water can contain leptospirosis bacteria.
