Pearl Harbor is a National Historic Landmark on the island of Oahu. The port and headquarters of the Pacific Fleet of the United States Navy are known for the attack by Japanese forces on the US Pacific Fleet during World War II. This caused the USA to enter the war. At Pearl Harbor you can visit five historical sites that tell of the tragic events. You should set aside at least half a day for the WWII Valor in the Pacific Monument (USS Arizona Memorial), the Battleship Missouri Memorial, the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park, the USS Oklahoma Memorial and the Pacific Aviation Museum. https://www.tourlane.de/nord Amerika/usa/gehenswuerdigkeiten-hawaii/#waikiki-strand

This bike path is a great spot to get off the main road and get up close to some war ships in Pearl Harbor's West Loch!

Waioli offers breakfast, lunch, and a variety of pastries. The building has a large patio for outdoor seating, or you can opt to sit indoors and enjoy the historic tea room. They do add a 3% "training fee" to orders (which they will remove upon request). The fee basically offsets their expenses to train staff, which seems like a ordinary business overhead cost, but why not pawn it off on unsuspecting tourists?! Weird fees, but good food.

The Pali (meaning "cliff") Lookout is the site of the Battle of Nuʻuanu, where in 1795 King Kamehameha I won the struggle that finally united Oʻahu under his rule. This fierce battle claimed hundreds of soldiers’ lives, many of which were forced off of the Pali’s sheer cliffs. Site is free for pedestrians / $7 for cars.
